Goal and
Objective:
Planning, coordinating and implementing all
association sponsored education programs/events. Content of planned
programs are geared to keep association members up to date on real
estate trends, marketing strategies, technologies, professionalism,
laws, etc.
Background/History:
50 to 60 members
have served on this committee in the past several years. The
Education Committee has a Chairperson and Co-Chairperson, who are
appointed annually as well as a part-time staff liaison, the
Education Coordinator.
The committee is
divided into the following sub-committees: Training, Designation,
Events, Communications, and Technology. Each sub-committee has a
chairperson, who is responsible for overseeing all of the functions
and duties of that particular sub-committee.
Purpose/Function of Sub-Committees:
Training
- Responsible for securing trainers, organizing and promoting the
fall and spring sessions of Seminars for Success. Responsible
for promoting continuing education for our members.
Designation
- Responsible for organizing, promoting and implementing designation
courses such as CRS, ABR, etc.
Events
-
Responsible for organizing a monthly educational event, excluding
July, August and December. Responsible for organizing one large
educational event annually. Responsible for researching speakers
and pertinent topics for our members.
Communications
- Responsible for communicating any educational programs being
conducted throughout New Jersey at monthly Education Committee
meetings. Responsible for submitting monthly reports to advertising
department.
Technology
– New sub-committee responsible for implementing small user groups
with the intention of expanding to all members. Current focus is on
Top Producer training/usage.Click
