Who We Are: The Monmouth/Ocean Multiple Listing Service 

The Monmouth/Ocean Multiple Listing Service (MOMLS) is the Monmouth/Ocean region’s leader in the real estate information and services business, operating from two locations—one each in Monmouth (Holmdel) and Ocean counties (Toms River). Our 10,000+ licensed agents, brokers and real estate appraiser customers participate in over 18,000 real estate transactions every year.

MOMLS is a division of MCAR and has members in Monmouth and Ocean counties, and surrounding areas.

MOMLS works as a clearinghouse through which more than 400 local real estate firms exchange information on properties they have listed for sale. It assures home sellers the widest possible exposure to prospective buyers, and it provides home buyers the greatest possible selection.

This local area network of up-to-date information is immediately available to a targeted audience of over 10,000 MLS subscribers experienced in the art of bringing buyers and sellers together.. These professionals have exclusive access to this system, allowing them to offer the quality service you expect and deserve.

The MOMLS provides an ongoing inventory of available properties and ensure maximum exposure of properties listed for sale. This is important because about 90 per cent of all resale homes in the Monmouth/Ocean region go through the MOMLS.

In addition, the strategic relationship between MOMLS and HomeStore.com continues to drive millions of consumers to our real estate listings on REALTOR.com where homes will be viewed by the largest monthly consumer audience ever recorded in the home and real estate category.

Sellers

MOMLS helps sellers who want to ensure their home is adequately marketed to potential home buyers. Sellers who work with MOMLS customers have their home placed into a computerized, regional network. The property is advertised not only to all other MOMLS customers but is also posted on a variety of real estate Web sites. This means that potential homebuyers from all over the world can view properties listed for sale in the MOMLS.

In addition, using MOMLS features, REALTORS® can ensure homes are appropriately priced. The comparative marketing analysis program assists REALTORS® in reviewing recent home sales and pricing a new listing accordingly. 

Buyers

MOMLS provides several benefits to home buyers. MOMLS customers can search the database from desktop or laptop computers. This helps buyers narrow their search and saves hours in time driving from one house to another. There are hundreds of data fields in MOMLS, which means buyers get a detailed list of property characteristics. Most MOMLS listings include at least one exterior photograph. Additional photographs are available.
